Quinta da Nasce Água
The Quinta da Nasce Água, in Angra do Heroísmo, was the first heritage guest-house in the Azores. With 14 rooms and two suites, the house results from the careful renovation of a 16th century mansion, which underwent a number of alterations over the years. All of the rooms are fully equipped, and the lounge and breakfast room make visitors feel completely at home. The outdoor pool invites you for a daily swim, and at night you can enjoy lively conversation while having a drink in the bar.
The gardens of the Quinta are ideal for getting away from it all and enjoying nature. With a large lake built in the 19th century, exotic plants and terraced gardens, this luxuriant place finds a perfect balance between the classical and the contemporary. The Quinta da Nasce Água [Spring Water Estate] takes its name from the natural spring in the gardens. The Quinta is 3 km from Angra do Heroísmo, which was made a UNESCO World Heritage city in 1983.
