This is an active and healthy way of getting to know the islands of the Azores. There are several places for cycling, with different levels of difficulty, both in the towns and in the countryside.
Boat trips in the sunset
The Atlantic Ocean is ideal for recreation and leisure and the islands of the Azores, due to their location, are ideal for pleasant boat trips around the coast, where you can observe wide bays, various volcanic islets and even some marine species.
Canoeing inside a volcano
Lakes lying inside dormant volcanoes are part of the Azorean landscape. Have you ever imagined gently floating in a canoe inside the crater of a volcano?
Canyoning ‘baptism’
Canyoning is a sports and leisure activity suited to the more adventurous. You can walk through streams, descend steep water courses and discover remote spots in the interior of the islands, where you will get a constant thrill and adrenalin rush.
